Giovanni De Francesco joined Superior Paddles.

Superior working in the construction of the standup paddles got in touch with the world of Polynesian canoe.
 It was  started  a collaboration with  Giovanni De Francesco  and with  him it was  developed a line of outrigger paddles .
  Some models are already in production, one of these will be used by Giovanni  in the next "Steinlager Kaiwa channel Solo OC1 WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP 2011"

It sounds very strange ........an italian rider ,Giovanni De Francesco, in Hawaii  with an italian canoe "Galea"made by an italian company  ,All Wave, and an italian paddle made by an italian company, Superior .

2001
World Championship 2001 Hawaii Molokai Solo    7°  in the 19-29 category - 20° overall.
First European to participate in the World Championship, European record on the course still valid today. 

 2002
European champion Va'a  Savona  Periplus of  Bergeggi  island 
French Championship final stage winner with record

2003
World Championship 2003 Hawaii Molokai Solo 7°  in the 19-29 category - 18° overall.

2001 -2005
 Unbeaten in Europe .Winner of  many  long and very long distance races across Europe. 


2007
Hawaii World Championship 2007 Pa'a  Solo 
Over 200 participants- 42 miles in extreme conditions.
Only 30 finished the race -22° overall

to Pantelleria ,106,5 km in a total time of 10h10'' ,team rider Alessandro Compagnucci with a Superior paddle.
